Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to the primary care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplanig team including psychiatry, nursing, social workers, and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of primary care services.
- Supervise and mentor medical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, to promote professional development and clinical excellence.
- Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive medical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, with a focus on managing both medical and psychiatric conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Epic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Actively participate in meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall success and growth of the health center.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio
- DEA registration and prescribing privileges
- Experience working in a federally qualified health center or similar safety-net setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and expertise in managing a broad spectrum of medical conditions
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
