As a recognized leader in hospice and palliative care, our client is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that honors dignity, comfort, and quality of life during life's final stages. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to elevate and expand a rapidly growing hospicel program.
As the Medical Director, you will provide clinical and administrative leadership for the hospice program, collaborating closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the SVP of the Hospice Service Line. Your role is critical in shaping the clinical excellence and strategic direction of the program. You will have full oversight of medical operations, helping to grow and enhance the program to ensure best-in-class care for patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the hospice program operates at the highest standard of care. Oversee all aspects of medical services, including patient care, compliance, and quality assurance.
Partner with the CMO and SVP to implement program growth strategies, enhance care delivery, and uphold the organization's mission. Serve as a key liaison between clinical and administrative teams.
Develop and implement clinical protocols that reflect best practices and ensure high-quality care. Focus on improving disease management, symptom relief, and patient outcomes.
Mentor and train the hospice medical staff, promoting continuous learning and professional development. Elevate the program’s reputation by fostering a culture of research, education, and clinical innovation.
Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and staffing to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Provide expert-level clinical care, including symptom management and direct oversight of patient referral processes.
Requirements:
Medical License (MD/DO) and Board Certification in New York.
Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (strongly preferred).
Significant administrative leadership experience in a physician role within hospice and palliative care.
Proven track record of developing clinical programs and driving quality outcomes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple disciplines and leadership levels.
