Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of clinicians and social workers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of effective mental health services in the emergency department and inpatient units.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to review cases, assess clinical needs, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Oversee the implementation of evidence-based practices and clinical protocols to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff members, providing feedback and addressing any performance issues or concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of mental health services within the emergency department and inpatient units.
- Serve as a liaison between staff members, management, and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Connecticut.
- Clinical experience providing mental health services in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated experience in supervision and leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a diverse patient population, including individuals with acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs.
