The ARRA Group, a distinguished health recruitment consultancy firm, is partnering with our Brooklyn-based Hospital Client to hire their next transformational Nurse Manager.  We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager for Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to drive exceptional patient care and elevate standards of excellence. 

Our client, an academic medical center, is nationally recognized for clinical excellence in cardiology, orthopedic, and urology surgery and is # 1 in NY for surgical care. The ideal PACU Nurse Manager is an experienced servant leader with a proven history of improving quality metrics, patient outcomes, and patient & staff satisfaction scores. 

The RN Nurse Manager of PACU Post Anesthesia Care Unit will maintain a collaborative, patient-centered team approach and partner closely with CNO and Perioperative Leadership to create and maintain operational processes that standardize high-quality care throughout the healthcare system.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and empower the PACU nursing team in delivering exceptional perioperative care.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PACU (24/7 management), ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization including hiring, scheduling, training, mentoring, and evaluating PACU nursing team.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance and safety standards, maintaining a secure and patient-centered environment.
Requirements
  • BSN Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; MSN preferred
  • Valid RN license in the state of New York
  • Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse CPAN preferred
  • Extensive experience in Post-Anesthesia/ PACU/ Surgical Stepdown with a strong track record of leadership and clinical expertise.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
